Offshore oil wells frequently encounter production challenges such as reservoir pressure depletion and high
water cut, limiting natural flow to the surface. To address this, Sumur X in Lapangan Y has been utilizing a gas
lift system since 2006. While effective in maintaining production, the system demands high gas consumption,
particularly in deep wells with high water cut. This study proposes a dual artificial lift configuration by
combining a jet pump at the lower section and a gas lift at the upper section of the well. Using nodal analysis in
commercial software, four scenarios were simulated: natural flow, single gas lift, single jet pump, and dual
artificial lift. The results indicate that the dual system successfully lifted fluids to the surface and reduced the
gas injection rate by 45.5% compared to the single gas lift system. This demonstrates the potential of dual
artificial lift to optimize production and improve operational efficiency, making it a promising solution for
offshore wells with complex production challenges.
