PT Sandau Nusantara Energy (PT SNE) is a subsidiary of Sandau Indonesia Business Unit that holding oil and gas exploration in Sumatra block at through its business unit PT Sandau Oil Energy (PT SOE). PT SNE is an electric power plant company that supplying electric power and steam to PT SOE. PT SNE operate 3 units of 100-Megawatt (MW) gas turbine and generate 300,000 Boiler Cold Water Equivalent Per Day (BCWEPD) steam from CoGeneration process plant. With current situation, PT SNE had an organizational challenge in order to meet leadership expectation. Organizational capability changes due to major company structure changes since Geothermal unit business taken over by other company. Majority of key personnel move to geothermal division and back to their original entity. Maintenance team had the biggest impact since replacement employee had less experience in power plant industry. The situation impact work quality of maintenance team and as the overall result could impacting reliability and availability of plant operational. With limited personnel capability, management expectation even requires higher result since Indonesia Business Unit facing End of Contract period at August 2021. First Line Maintenance (FLM) organization structure has been developed and prepare to be implemented. Gaps need to be addressed prior implementation, since the process will take time while operational and routine outage will remain the same. Focus Group Discussion was hold involving key stakeholder. FLM expected to strengthen Operation team and reduce business process significantly, especially for operation and maintenance administration process. FLM expected to accelerate personnel capability within short of period. FLM expected to give multiply positive impact to organization. Change management study and plan need to develop to the success of FLM organization model.
