Smooth particle hydrodynamics (SPH) is a Lagrangian based and meshless method which can be applied in several field such as astrophysics, fluid mechanics, and solid mechanics. The idea of SPH is calculate the properties of discrete particles in the support domain using smoothing function. The smoothing function determine the effect of neighbouring particles which are interact to each other. In this project, SPH is applied to simulate three dimensional problem in elastodynamics and fracture mechanics.
