Methods, procedures, process, and layout needs continuous improvement in order to maintain work effectiveness, efficiency, and eliminating possible cause for problems later. Problems occurring in warehouse management can cause losses for the company. Currently, the problem faced by the company inside their warehouse is the increasing amount of stock inaccuracy caused more goods lost and eventually value loss for the company. There are five major activities in the company warehouse: Quality Control, Finished Goods Storage, Bundled Goods Storage, Ready-to-ship Goods Storage, and Stock Opname. The data collection methods used in-depth interview and direct observation to make solution of the problems. The research subject of this study is PT. Chintaka Bumi Pertiwi. a subsidiary company, one of affiliate of Dialogue Management Group engaged in the distribution of baby gear products like mattresses or bed, bags, slings, pillows, bolsters, etc. The company warehouse currently serve for production and the storage function with different procedures applied for each function. A proper procedure is a must if the good work process and fewer problems are the management goal. This study use observation and in-depth interview to gather the data. The subject of interview is the Logistics and Shipping Chief, Supervisor, and Administrator. After data collection, the data was analyzed with the DMAIC framework to define the current company condition; measure the procedures and processes conducted in the warehouse using the Pareto, Pie-charts, and tables; analyze the procedures and processes for possible source of problems causing stock inaccuracy by plotting the data from interview and direct observation to for relationship causing the stock inaccuracy; solution for improvements are developed; then control measurement to maintain the desired performance level are conducted. The proposed solution made for the sections with problems according to the data from observation and interview with the authorities. Basically the solution is to repair the procedure and adding regulations within the section because it is related to all of the problems causing stock inaccuracy and need to be eliminated. The solution focused on procedural change and regulation implementation. Some of the problems can be solved by setting up proper procedure for the process to improve work process, improve control, and reduce risk of causing problem, some can be solved by minimize human involvement in the process by automation to reduce the risk of human errors while improving work efficiency and accuracy at the same time, and some can be solved by improving the process control utilizing the current human resource to have better control over the storage and the goods within, and also monitored goods movement for easy tracking during stock inaccuracy.
