Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) Jatinangor Campus is experiencing rapid development
that increases built-up areas and reduces water catchment areas. This condition results in an
increasing volume of rainwater runoff and the risk of local flooding, thus demanding a
sustainable water management system. This research designed a drainage system based on the
concept of eco drainage as an effort to conserve water and mitigate runoff. Hydrological
analysis was carried out as the basis of the design, generating an Intensity-DurationFrequency (IDF) curve using the Van Breen Method with the Talbot formula approach. For
the 5-year Rain Recovery Period (PUH), the planned rain intensity used is 66.708 mm/h. With
PCSWMM modeling, runoff in the existing drainage system for 5-year PUH is estimated to
reach 56.99 m³/second, where the simulation results show the potential for inundation at
several channel junction points. Based on consideration of the condition of low infiltrated clay
soil and land availability, the selected eco drainage technologies are Swale, Detention Basin,
Rainwater Harvesting, and Green Roof. After redesign and re-simulation with the application
of the technology, inundation at critical points such as nodes JA13 and JA25 was successfully
eliminated, indicating that the designed system was effective in reducing runoff loads. In terms
of non-technical analysis, this project is also considered financially feasible. The results of the
investment feasibility analysis for 20 years of projection showed a positive Net Present Value
(NPV) value of Rp 730,578,614.58 and a Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) of 1,564, which indicates
that the project is feasible because the benefits obtained exceed investment and operational
costs
