In an effort to enhance Indonesia's oil and gas production while adhering to its decarbonization goals, this study explores the optimization of a Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) Hub in West Papua. The CCUS Hub aims to achieve carbon neutrality, minimize fossil fuel dependency, and establish opportunities for renewable energy usage by centralizing CO2 capture and storage operations. This paper focuses on generating an optimized design for the CO2 pipeline network, maximizing injection rates, ensuring CO2 availability, and assessing the economic feasibility of the project. The methodology begins with data collection, sorting CO2 sources, determining reservoir storage capacity, and source-sink matching. The pipeline network is designed using Google Earth, followed by an optimization process using Python to determine the most cost-effective route. Along with economic analysis that is conducted based on technical calculations. The case study examines the Tangguh LNG project, located in Bintuni Bay, West Papua, which utilizes Enhanced Gas Recovery (EGR) for CO2 injection. The results indicate that a total of 10.5 Mt CO2 can be injected over 15 years, with a recycling rate of 8% per year, resulting in a significant increase in gas production. Economic feasibility is analysed using various carbon and gas prices, revealing that higher carbon and gas prices significantly improve project viability. At a gas price of 6 USD/MMBTU and a carbon price of 65 USD/ton, the total cost required for the project is 767.07 MMUSD. This setup yields a total revenue of 1657.21 MMUSD and a total profit of 890.15 MMUSD. The financial analysis shows a Net Present Value (NPV) of 38.325 MMUSD and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 16%, demonstrating the project's viability under these conditions. The findings highlight that CCUS Hubs have the ability to support economies of scale, lower unit costs, and aid Indonesia's ambitions to decarbonize by 2030.
