Climate change has become one of the most critical issues today, driven primarily by greenhouse gas emissions, especially carbon dioxide (CO2). Indonesia, as a leading decarbonization country in ASEAN with a 700 Gt CO2 storage potential, aims to achieve Net Zero Emission by 2060 through Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects. In order to accelerate CO2 reduction, the CCS Hub is chosen as the most effective technology. Therefore, evaluating and optimizing the CCS Hub in Indonesia from both technical and economic perspectives is essential. This strategy will help overcome CO2 emissions and fulfilling industry demand. The technical evaluation carried out by comprehensive analysis and optimization of the area, source and sink capacity, pipeline network, and economic feasibility. The North Sumatra is chosen as a potential area for implementing the CCS Hub due to the large CO2 storage potential. This CCS Hub study is analyzed using two scenarios with the variation of CO2 injection rate which is 7.1 Mtpa and 5 Mtpa. The route and pipeline network are optimized python modeling. The economic evaluation and sensitivity analysis are conducted using several CO2 prices to determine the optimum CO2 price. The technical analysis indicated that the CCS Hub in North Sumatra is having 868 Mt CO2 storage capacity from Arun Field and feasible to be implemented using CO2 injection rate 7.1 Mtpa and 5 Mtpa. The optimization of pipeline network for CCS Hub in North Sumatra Area is using several pipeline diameter and booster pump. The economic evaluation shows that the project is economically feasible with optimum CO2 price 71 USD for CO2 injection rate 7.1 Mtpa and 67 USD for CO2 injection rate 5 Mtpa. Economic sensitivity shows that economic parameters (CO2 price, CAPEX, OPEX) are significantly influence the economy.
