This study investigates antipsychotic regimen switching and dose adjustments among patients with
schizophrenia, utilizing Kaplan-Meier curves to illustrate time dependent patterns. In a retrospective
six-months long cohort study, 26.1% of patients experienced regimen switching, with atypical
regimens (14.8%) transitioning faster than combination regimens (11.4%). Additionally, 61.4% of
patients underwent notable antipsychotic dose adjustments, revealing a prescriber tendency to
respond slowly to potential decreases in effectiveness. The findings highlight the stakes in tailoring
treatments, with dose adjustments occurring within the initial two months, preceding regimen
switching. This research offers valuable insights into the nuances of schizophrenia management,
putting emphasis on the importance of individualized approaches to optimize treatment outcomes.
