Abstract :
This thesis is based on the dispersion compensation method by cascading a single mode fiber (SMF) operating the 1550 nm wavelength with a dispersion compensating fiber (DCF) and the erbium doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA). By calculating the real length, managing the non-linear effects in a fiber adjusting the negative dispersion and the repeater span. A data rate of 10 Gbit/s is under consideration and a suitable simulation methodology has been used to achieve the work.
