This study aimed to produce bioethanol from Nannochloropsis gaditana in various municipal wastewaters. Microalgae were cultivated at 24 ± 2 with f/2 medium for control. Bioethanol yields of of Nannochloropsis gaditana in various municipal wastewaters (0, 30, 60 and 100 %) range from 70.3 ± 2.4 mg. g biomass-1 to 94.3 ± 5.5 mg. g biomass-1 and % 30 of wastewater had the highest bioethanol yield (94.3 ± 5.5 mg. g biomass-1). These findings suggest that Nannochloropsis gaditana in different municipal wastewaters can be used for bioethanol production after wastewater disinfection process.
