Structural design and construction assessment has been performed as part of quality control for housing construction funded an international NGO for Yogya earthquake victims. Both design and construction assessments identify vulnerabilities that require significant improvement in the design and construction technology. In the paper, we present the assessment methodology and results. We also present recommended design improvements that have been implemented for the second stage of the housing construction.
