Abstract : This study investigates the market orientation in Indonesian airlines industry. Questionnaires were sent to 20 senior executives in 5 Airlines Company. A Kohli, Jaworski and Kumars Market Orientation Scale was adopted to measure the dimension of market orientation. Findings indicate that most of Indonesian Airlines Company already has relatively strong market orientation. Event though the data analysis summarizes the relatively sufficient result, the interview process indicates different result comparing with the interview session. Interviews are held to verify the statements answered in questionnaires. The result shows a range of variable responded in questionnaire could be indicates as normative statement. Interview revealed event though the score is relatively strong, some statements emerged the negative support of the questioners result.
