Electricity is a vital requirement in the economic development. The availability of sufficient power, reliable, secure, and affordable prices are important factors in order to move the economy and improve people's lives. The loss of power supply to some sectors, although in a relatively short time, will inhibit the activity he was doing that would eventually lead to losses. This led to a paradigm that the loss of electricity supply is expressed as a financial loss. With an intention to increase the electricity supply capacity, through Government Regulation No. 3 Year 2005 (PP No. 3 / 2005), the opportunity to participate in the electricity supply business was opened to all business players in addition to PLN's existing today. Business actors in the electricity supply business might be: state (other than PLN), private enterprises, cooperative, Governmental Organization, or Individuals. The purpose of this Final Project is the financial analysis of a business of selling electricity by building a coal power plant in order to know the feasibility of the investment made by a business entity and sensitivity electricity price related to investment cost for Independent Power producers (IPP). To achieve the aims and objectives of the study, some points that need to be assessed, which is to identify the components and structure of the coal power plant costs, examining the influence of factors such as price sensitivity due to investment cost in generating electricity.
