Hydraulic fracturing stimulation is commonly used to enhance hydrocarbon flow in reservoirs with low to medium
permeability. This method is being applied to Well X-3 in Cisitu Block, Indonesia, which is experiencing a
production decline. To improve productivity, hydraulic fracturing was chosen as the preferred stimulation
technique. The objective of this study is to design an optimum fracturing treatment to enhance well productivity.
The process starts with well log interpretation and geomechanics parameters calculation in the Talang Akar
formation. Using 3D fracture modeling software, four proppant types are tested to generate fracture geometry
(half-length, height, and width) and identify the best scenarios based on Folds of Increase (FOI) to maximize
productivity. Based on the simulation results, the well experienced a significant increase in productivity, with an
average FOI of 2. This indicates a substantial improvement in the well's performance after the fracturing treatment.
