68 CHAPTER V CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION 5.1 Conclusion The research answers the three research questions related to cost overrun and project delay at PT Lotus Trading Regional Sulawesi. Four root causes were found, namely related to front end loading, lack of supervision and monitoring tools, ineffective decision making, and inefficient risk management. Then further validation was carried out using several methods and strengthened by conducting FGDs so that the results found that the main root problem was inadequate risk management. Improvements need to be made by using the right and appropriate strategy to be applied to the project management of PT Lotus Trading Regional Sulawesi. The strategy that needs to be done is the implementation of Tailored Risk Management for the stages of risk planning, risk assessment, and risk control. This strategy is designed to ensure that each selected attribute is relevant to the needs of the organization, so that the risk management process can run more effectively and focused in supporting project success. The chosen strategy needs to be implemented properly. PT Lotus Trading needs to implement customized Risk Management, considering three main criteria for each stage. First, criteria are selected based on ease of implementation, ensuring that changes can be implemented practically without encountering significant obstacles. The strategy chosen needs to be tailored to the company's internal needs in order to remain agile and make the necessary process improvements. The second important thing is to ensure how adaptability risk management can be in line with changes in the process in the field. And the third is how this strategy can be aligned with the business process at PT Lotus Trading which is able to provide an approach that adheres not only to good risk management but also able to provide added value to project development. 5.2 Recommendation To be able to meet the challenges in an era prone to change where project quality needs to keep pace with speed and good risk management, practical and actionable strategies are needed to ensure appropriate risk management at PT Lotus Trading Regional Sulawesi. Sustainable risk management strategy development in PT. Lotus Trading Regional Sulawesi involved respondents from the Sulawesi function who have in-depth understanding and experience of the specific needs of the region. Respondents provided 69 input based on operational conditions, challenges and priorities relevant to projects undertaken in the Sulawesi region. The results of this study are for the implementation of risk management projects at PT Lotus Trading Regional Sulawesi. However, this strategy can also be implemented in other regions by previously making further adjustments to be able to accommodate differences in conditions both geographical, operational, and other strategic needs that may differ in each region by conducting focus discussion groups in each region. This research will remain relevant to serve as the basis for implementing risk management in general in PT Lotus Trading projects. The risk management process uses the three most effective criteria for each stage. This method simplifies implementation yet maintains overall risk management effectiveness by applying the most relevant and impactful criteria. Flexibility continues to be an important component of this methodology. The attribute steps in this risk management strategy can be customized in adapting to the needs of the company or in this case the project being built. In accordance with the challenges that the company will face in the future, risk management is kept relevant, adaptive, and able to offer solutions through this adjustment mechanism..
