SELECTING THE BEST OPTION FOR RIG INVESTMENT TO ACHIEVE THE TARGET OF PRODUCTIVITY RIG IN PERTAMINA DRILLING USING THE ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS METHOD FINAL PROJECT In partial fulfilment of the requirements for the master’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung By AHMAD BURHAN NOVIARIS Student ID: 29121551 (Master of Business Administration Program) INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG 2024 i ABSTRACT SELECTING THE BEST OPTION FOR RIG INVESTMENT TO ACHIEVE THE TARGET OF PRODUCTIVITY RIG IN PERTAMINA DRILLING USING THE ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS METHOD By Ahmad Burhan Noviaris Student ID: 29121551 (Master of Business Administration Program) Pertamina Drilling is part of Pertamina's Upstream Sub Holding as a services subsidiary with the business of providing rigs as the main tool for oil drilling and workover work. One of Pertamina Drilling's customers is Zone 7. Currently carrying out well intervention work in Zone 7 using its own rig assets and fulfillment from external parties (both PT. Pertamina Drilling and other drilling contractors), until now the number of Workover rigs to carry out the work well intervention is still not sufficient. With the need for workover rigs in the Zone 7 area, PT. Pertamina Drilling plans to invest in a 550 HP rig to meet market demand. One potential barrier to putting this investment into practice is purchasing a 550 HP rig whose performance falls short of the 85% rig productivity target. To get a 550 HP rig that has performance that can reach the rig productivity target of 85%, alternative steps are needed. With the right rig specifications, remembering that to support workover activities, a rig will be needed that has instantaneous speed, good performance and optimizes operation and maintenance costs. With this research, it is hoped that this problem can be overcome. The author uses the SWOT analysis to analysis rig performance situation and fishbone diagram method to look for several possible causes of this problem. From the results of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving experts at Pertamina Drilling, several alternative solutions were produced, including (1) Brand New Rig Mechanical, (2) Brand New Rig Electrical, (3) Refurbish Rig. Super Decision software is used to carry out calculations using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method which is used to select the best solution based on the following criteria: Capital Expenditure, Delivery Time, Maintainability, Operability and Durability. The best solution based on AHP analysis is Brand New Rig Mechanical with a value of 62.2%. To ensure that the results of the AHP analysis are realized, an implementation plan is prepared so that this solution can be implemented within time, cost and without any safety problems. Salah satu customer Pertamina Drilling adalah Zona 7. Saat ini pelaksanaan pekerjaan well intervention di Zona 7 menggunakan rig own asset sendiri serta pemenuhan dari pihak eksternal (baik PT. Pertamina Drilling maupun drilling contractor lainnya), hingga saat ini jumlah atas rig Workover untuk melaksanakan pekerjaan well intervention masih belum mencukupi.
