ABSTRAK FASILITAS PUBLIK BAGI KOMUNITAS NELAYAN DENGAN PENDEKATAN PLACEMAKING PADA DESA WISATA IKAN ASIN PULAU PASARAN Oleh TEGAR WAHYU AKBAR NIM : 25222027 (Program Studi Magister Arsitektur) Desa Wisata Ikan Asin Pulau Pasaran di Bandar Lampung adalah destinasi wisata berbasis komunitas yang menghadapi tantangan banjir rob, sampah, dan krisis air bersih. Tesis ini mengusulkan pendekatan placemaking untuk merespons tantangan tersebut dengan merancang fasilitas publik yang tidak hanya memenuhi kebutuhan komunitas nelayan, tetapi juga mendukung keberlanjutan dan meningkatkan daya tarik wisata. Melalui analisis potensi aktivitas nelayan, perancangan ini bertujuan menciptakan ruang publik yang efisien dan resiliensi terhadap bencana, sehingga dapat menarik wisatawan. Implementasi strategi ini sangat bergantung pada kolaborasi antara komunitas nelayan, pemerintah, dan organisasi non-pemerintah. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa fasilitas publik yang dirancang dengan pendekatan placemaking sangat penting sebagai sarana mitigasi bencana sekaligus pendukung aktivitas komunitas. Pendekatan ini terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup komunitas nelayan melalui fasilitas publik yang kolaboratif, resiliensi, dan berdaya tarik wisata. Fasilitas yang dirancang diharapkan tidak hanya memecahkan masalah bencana, tetapi juga memperkuat hubungan sosial dan ekonomi dalam komunitas. Rekomendasi tesis ini menekankan pentingnya evaluasi berkelanjutan dan adaptasi desain sesuai dengan kebutuhan masa depan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan desa wisata ini. ABSTRACT PUBLIC FACILITIES FOR FISHER COMMUNITIES WITH PLACEMAKING APPROACH IN THE SALTED FISH TOURISM VILLAGE OF PASARAN ISLAND By TEGAR WAHYU AKBAR NIM : 25222027 (Master’s Program in Architecture) Pasaran Island's Salted Fish Tourism Village in Bandar Lampung is a community- based tourism destination facing challenges such as tidal flooding, waste management, and a clean water crisis. This thesis proposes a placemaking approach to address these challenges by designing public facilities that not only meet the needs of the fishing community but also support sustainability and enhance tourism appeal. Through an analysis of the potential fishing activities, this design aims to create public spaces that are efficient and resilient to disasters, thereby attracting tourists. The successful implementation of this strategy relies heavily on collaboration between the fishing community, government, and non-governmental organizations. The design results indicate that public facilities developed with a placemaking approach are crucial as disaster mitigation tools and as supports for community activities. This approach has proven effective in creating a sustainable environment and improving the quality of life for the fishing community through public facilities that are collaborative, resilient, and attractive to tourists. The designed facilities are expected not only to solve disaster-related issues but also to strengthen social and economic relationships within the community. This thesis recommends the importance of continuous evaluation and design adaptation to future needs to ensure the sustainability of this tourism village.
