27 CHAPTER III METHODOLOGY 3. CHAPTER III METHODOLOGY 3.1 Research Design In conducting this research, a systematic structure was constructed to help researchers address the research questions and achieve the research objectives. The research design begins with identifying the current issues in adopting cloud computing services in Indonesia. After that, the trending problems are linked to show the relationships between cloud computing and MSMEs in Bandung City. Next, a literature review is conducted to support the theoretical foundation. Findings from a critical literature review of other journals are analyzed and integrated to construct a conceptual framework and suitable hypotheses for this research. The primary goal of the study is to identify the factors influencing the intention to adopt cloud computing among MSMEs in Indonesia, with a particular focus on Bandung City. An extended UTAUT2, incorporating the UTAUT2 framework and TRI, is used to gain insights into the actual usage of cloud computing. Data collection will be supported by questionnaires directed at the intended criteria of respondents, and data analysis will be conducted using PLS-SEM. The results will then be concluded and used to provide recommendations for related parties and to guide future research. The research design can be seen in Figure 3.1. This approach can use survey research, using questionnaires equipped with a rating system to efficiently reach a wide range of individuals through online (Ponto, 2015). In this study, the researcher will use a quantitative method, using online questionnaires with close-ended questions as the main tools for data collection to address the formulated research questions. The responses will subsequently be analyzed using statistical methods. 3.2.1 Population and Sampling The population that will be assessed in this study is members of the MSMEs in Bandung City. It is responsible for researchers to determine an adequate sample size that accurately represents the population (Nanjundeswaraswamy and Divakar, 2021). Therefore, the researcher determines the sample size by employing proportion estimation. Referring to the problem identification, 90% of the potential population proportion who use cloud computing can help Indonesia’s economic growth. Consequently, the researcher utilizes this potential proportion in Bandung City as the basis for objective sampling.
