27 Chapter III Research Methodology III. 1 Research Design This chapter outlines the procedures used for data collection and analysis to answer the research queries effectively. It starts by introducing the research design employed in this research, followed by a comprehensive explanation of the methods used for both data collection and analysis. Figure III. 1 Research Design The research starts with problem identification, followed by the formulation of research questions and objectives within defined scope and limitations. Once the research objectives are established, an extensive review of relevant literature is conducted. This review serves not only to explain the terminology used throughout this research but also to gather insights from prior research studies pertinent to the topic under consideration. Additionally, secondary data from sources such as journals, publications, textbooks, and official 28 websites are collected. The primary data collection employs a qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews, subsequently analyzed utilizing coding techniques. Finally, this chapter focuses on detailing the methods employed for data collection and analysis, leading to the eventual formulation of conclusions and recommendations. Given that problem identification, research questions, objectives, and literature review were discussed in the preceding chapter, the current chapter exclusively delves into the specifics of data collection and analysis methods, concluding with derived insights and recommendations. III. 2 Data Collection Method 1. Initially, foundational theories for this research are established through the integration of secondary data. This data, sourced from journals, publications, textbooks, and official websites, pertains to various topics discussed within this research, encompassing the housing industry, evolving housing preferences, millennials' preferences and behaviors, as well as qualitative research methodologies. 2. Then, a qualitative analysis will be conducted to address factors that influence housing preferences after the pandemic that has not been captured in the quantitative analysis. Semi-structured interviews will be conducted to dive deeper into this matter. Result saturation will also be taken into account in order to have more accurate data. III.2.
