72 4. CHAPTER 4 – CONCLUSION AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN 4.1. Conclusion Following the literature research, key stakeholder interviews, and situation analysis from the previous chapter, the conclusion of the final project research are as below: 1. In the current issue of Global and Indonesia Power Market which affecting PLN’s business, mainly during Government agenda of sector reform and energy transition, this research identified 10 (ten) top driving forces as below: a. Trend of renewable energy transition b. Technology development c. Power sector reform d. Financial capability e. Renewable energy regulation f. Private investment g. Political will h. Macroeconomy condition i. Electricity demand j. Electricity tariff Those driving forces affecting PLN’s current business and may drive the corporate actions towards the future uncertainties. As result of the research, from those driving forces there were identified 2 (two) critical uncertainties in PLN’s electricity business amid national agenda of sector reform and energy transition. The critical uncertainties are Trend of Renewable Energy Transition and Development of Technology. Trend of Renewable Energy Transition indicating how aggressive is the renewable energy transition in the Indonesia power sector and Development of Technology indicating how is the progress of global technology adoption and innovation implemented in the national electricity business. 73 2. Scenario planning of PLN’s future business is constructed based on the two critical uncertainties that may affecting PLN’s corporate strategy. Identification of scenario planning will help PLN’s business to be prepared in each scenario happen in the next 5 years.
