Suatu lapangan minyak tua seringkali mengalami masalah water breakthrough,oleh karena itu, water cut yang terproduksi biasanya relatif tinggi. Penanganan masalah ini dapat dengan segera dipersiapkan apabila water cut telah dapat diprediksi sebelum pengembangan lapangan dilakukan. Metode X-Plot yang digunakan untuk memprediksi distribusi saturasi air dapat dikembangkan untuk peramalan water cut apabila kurva permeabilitas relatif diketahui.

Berdasarkan pertimbangan diatas, pada makalah ini, kami melakukan aplikasi dan analisis metode X-Plot untuk menentukan saturasi air serta melakukan uji kevalidan hasil metode X-Plot tersebut. Kemudian, dikembangkan metode dan prosedur untuk mendapatkan peramalan water cut berdasarkan metode X-Plot yang diperoleh dari data special core analysis (SCAL).

Penentuan saturasi air dilakukan dengan metode X-Plot, yaitu plot antara Er and X-Function yang telah difilterisasi. Dari kemiringan dan titik potong grafik tersebut diperoleh kurva permeabilitas relatif dan kurva fractional flow. Nilai saturasi air ditentukan dengan mensubtitusi water cut ke persamaan matematis kurva fractional flow. Uji kevalidan metode X-Plot dilakukan dengan memperbandingkan nilai saturasi air tiap waktu dari kurva fractional flow dan dari hasil menjalankan simulator. Peramalan water cut dilakukan berdasarkan metode X-Plot yang diperoleh dari data SCAL dengan merata-ratakan permeabilitas relatif dan menghitung kemiringan serta titik potong dari plot permeabilitas relatif terhadap saturasi air. Grafik water cut terhadap faktor perolehan dihasilkan dengan mensubtitusi parameter kemiringan dan titik potong plot tersebut, serta memasukkan data Swi interval perforasi pada sumur.

Dari hasil dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode X-Plot valid digunakan untuk menentukan saturasi air jika reservoir mengalami pendesakan air baik dari sumur injeksi maupun natural strong water drive dan memproduksikan water cut lebih dari 50%. Untuk menghasilkan kurva fractional flow yang representatif, filterisasi X-Plot diperlukan. Lebih lanjut, kami telah berhasil mengembangkan metode usulan peramalan water cut berdasarkan metode X-Plot dari data SCAL.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

mature oil fields often experience water breakthrough problems, therefore, the produced water cut is usually quite high. Handling this problem can be prepared soon if water cut has been predicted before the field development. X-Plot method used for water saturation distribution can be developed for water cut prediction providing relative permeability curves.

Based on the considerations above, in this paper, we apply the X-Plot method and analyze to determine the water saturation, and for validating test of X-Plot’ results. Furthermore, method and procedure are developed to predict water cut performance based on X-Plot method using special core analysis (SCAL) data.

Determination of water saturation is carried out by the X-Plot method that needs filter of the Er versus X-Function plot that have already filtered. From the slope and intercept of that graphic, relative permeability curve and fractional flow curve can be obtained. Water saturation can be determined by substituting the water cut into the mathematical equation of fractional flow curve. Validating test of the X-Plot method is carried out by comparing between the water saturation of each time obtained from the fractional flow curve and simulator results. Prediction of water saturation is carried out based on the X-Plot method that is obtained from SCAL data by getting the mean value of relative permeability, and calculating the slope and intercept from relative permeability versus water saturation plot. Graphic of water cut versus recovery factor is obtained by substituting the slope and intercept of that plot, and substituting the initial water saturation data at the perforating interval in the well.

From the results, it can be concluded that X-Plot method is valid to be used to determine water saturation If a reservoir experiences a water drive mechanism either from injection wells or natural strong water drive and produces water cut more than 50%. For getting the fractional flow curve that is representative, the X-Plot filter is needed. Furthermore, we have successfully developed a suggested method for predicting water cut based on X-Plot method from the SCAL data.
