Distribusi minyak dan gas mayoritas masih menggunakan pipeline, terutama underground pipeline. Underground pipeline memiliki tantangan terbesar dalam operasinya, yaitu adanya masalah korosi, yang dapat mempengaruhi integritas pipeline. Korosi pada pipeline harus dikendalikan, metode perlindungan korosi pada pipeline yang sering digunakan adalah anoda korban (sacrificial anode) dan arus tanding (impressed current), inhibitor, dan protective coating. Dalam tugas akhir ini, dilakukan perancangan proteksi katodik terhadap korosi pada pipa penyalur gas onshore dan offshore menggunakan metode anoda korban (sacrificial anode) yang berdasarkan pada recommended practice DNV RP B401 dan DNV RP F103, serta metode arus tanding (impressed current) yang berdasarkan pada recommended practice NACE RP0572-1996 dan NACE RP0169-2001. Pipa penyalur gas yang dijadikan studi kasus dalam tugas akhir ini adalah pipa penyalur gas dari Pulau Simenggaris menuju Pulau Bunyu di Kalimantan Timur sepanjang 63000 m, onshore dan offshore.Hasil perancangan dalam tugas akhir ini, dengan umur desain 25 tahun, menunjukkan kebutuhan jumlah anode MMO titanium untuk metode arus tanding sistem pipa onshore dari Pulau Simenggaris – Selat Tapa sebanyak 24 buah, tegangan rectifier 111,28 Volt, untuk Selat Mintut sampai Pulau Bunyu jumlah anode sebanyak 23 buah, tegangan rectifier sebesar 91,04 Volt. Untuk metode anoda korban (sacrificial anode) sistem pipa offshore dengan tipe anoda aluminium bracelet membutuhkan jumlah anoda sebanyak 179 buah, berat total sebesar 3130,91 kg. Dalam perancangan proteksi katodik ada beberapa parameter yang harus diperhatikan secara detail, antara lain current density, coating breakdown factor, anode resistance,dll. Tugas sarjana ini juga mengembangkan sebuah calculation sheet yang berguna untuk perhitungan agar lebih mudah.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Distribution of oil and gas in the world majority still used pipeline, especially underground pipeline. Underground pipeline has the greatest challenges in its operations, that is the problem of corrosion, which could affect the integrity of the pipeline. Corrosion in the pipeline should be controlled, method of corrosion protection on the pipeline which is often used is the sacrificial anode and the Impressed Current, inhibitors, and protective coatings. The main purposes in this final project is to design cathodic protection against corrosion in gas pipelines onshore and offshore using sacrificial anode, which is based on recommended practices DNV RP B401 and DNV RP F103, as well as Impressed Current, which is based on recommended practice NACE RP0572-2001 and NACE RP0169-1996. Gas pipeline which is used as a case study in this final project is a gas pipeline from the Bunyu Island to Simenggaris Island in East Kalimantan, along the 63 km, onshore and offshore.


The design result in this final project, with a design life of 25 years demonstrate the need for the number of MMO titanium anode to impressed current method of Simenggaris Island – Tapa Straits (onshore pipeline) as many as 24 pieces, required 111.28V rectifier voltage. And also,The Strait Mintut until Bunyu Island required anode number as many as 23 pieces , rectifier voltage of 91.04 volts. For the sacrificial anode method from Tapa Straits to Mintut Straits (offshore pipeline) with the type of aluminum bracelet anodes require as many as 179 pieces of anode, and the total anode weight of 3130.91 kg. In the design of cathodic protection there are several parameters that must be considered in detail, such as current density, coating breakdown factor, anode resistance, etc.The task of these final project also developed a calculation sheet which is useful for calculations to be more easy.
