PT. Bukit Asam merencanakan akan membangun pabrik adonan briket batubara sebesar 2 x 165.000 ton per tahun, 50% diantaranya akan dicetak sendiri, sedang yang 50% lainnya akan dijual kepada swasta/KUD, untuk dicetak dan dipasarkan. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut diadakan penelitian ini. Analisis dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan deskriptif terhadap aspek pasar dan pemasaran, aspek teknik produksi, aspek manajemen, aspek keuangan, dan aspek ekonomi sosial. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proyek pembangunan pabrik briket batubara oleh KUD di Desa Palimanan Timur sangat layak untuk direalisasikan. Dari aspek pasar dan pemasaran ditemukan bahwa untuk tahun 2000 pangsa pasarnya adalah 198.682,5 ton. Dari aspek teknik produksi ditemukan bahwa lokasi proyek cukup strategis dan kondusif. Sedang dari aspek manajemen, kebutuhan tenaga pengelola dan karyawan cukup tersedia. Dari aspek keuangan, diperoleh 1). NPV = + 5.761.587, 2). IRR = 40, 77% > MARR = 40%, 3). RMB = 1, dan 4). POT = 2,07 tahun. Cash flow rencana proyek ini sangat sensitif terhadap perobahan harga bahan baku (adonan), dimana dengan kenaikan harga adonan menjadi Rp.220,50, NPV menjadi -100.540.460. Dari aspek ekonomi sosial, proyek akan memberikan keuntungan berupa penerimaan negara dari berbagai pajak, penghematan devisa, pembukaan lapangan kerja dan pemerataan kesempatan kerja serta dapat merangsang tumbuhnya berbagai industri kecil lainnya di sekitar lokasi. Tingkat kelayakan pembangunan pabrik briket batubara oleh KUD di Desa Palimanan Timur ini akan semakin tinggi jika subsidi pemerintah terhadap harga minyak tanah di cabut.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

PT. Bukit Asam, Inc. has been planning to construct a factory of coal briquette dough which produces 2 x 165,000 ton/year. It is agreed that 50% of the production will be molded by themselves, and the 50% will be sold to private enterpreneur or KUD in order to hold a market. Based on that reason this research is conducted. The analysis has been conducted qualitatively and descriptively concerning the aspects of market and marketing, production technique, management and social economics.
Research finding shows that it is feasible in realizing the project of constructing coal briquet factory by KUD in Palimanan Timur Village. It is revealed from the market and marketing aspects that by year the 2000, the market share would be 198,682.5 tons. The location of the project is quite strategic and condusive viewed from production technique aspect. Meanwhile viewed from management aspect, the needs of managers and workers are fully provided. Based on the monetary aspect, it is found that 1). NPV = + 5,761,587, 2). IRR = 40.77% > MARR = 40%, 3). RMB = 1, and 4). POT = 2.07 year. The cash flow of this project is very sensitive against the changing of the material's (dough) price, if the price is increased to Rp. 220.50, NPV will be -100,540,460. Several advantages will be gained from the social economic aspect: like the government incomes through taxes, be thrifty with foreign exchange, offering and distributing work opportunity and also stimulating some small industries on the surrounding. The feasibility level of coal briquette factory constructed by KUD in Palimanan Timur Village will be better if the government revokes the subsidy on kerosene price
