It is proposed to develop a plasma research facility in the Gas-Dynamics Laboratory, utilizing the present r,f, induction unit as the excitation generator, The theory of r.f, induction plasma is analyzed, and typical applications of r.f. plasma are discussed with the advantages and problems encountered, Two specific problems are proposed for further study
and investigation:
1. experimental investigation of magnetohydrodynamic channel flow characteristics
2, experimental investigation and study for improving the conductivity of combustion-products for MHD power generation, using conventional fuels.
