ABSTRACT
Nowadays Signaling System # 7 (SS7) has been implemented on Indonesian Telecommunication Network, use three kinds of Digital Switching: 5ESS (USA), EWSD (Germany) and NEAX61E (Japan) as Network Nodes. Each kind of Exchange has different character so some problem rise because of this reason, such as: Digit Sending Mode (En-bloc and Overlap), Nature of Address Indicator (NOA), Interworking of SS7 to R2 and vice versa, also Timer Setting. This Problem has to be solved soon because affect to the unsuccessful calling and delay of installation new features.
According to the research on Model Exchange and life network, the alternative solutions are: good customization setting of digit sending parameters, using uniform format of number for each exchange, and for interworking of SS7-R2, pay attention on Timer setting and Data Mapping.
