Dalam penelitian ini dirancang dan dibangun sistem lalu lintas perkotaan maya untuk game yang terdiri dari model jaringan jalan, mekanisme pembangkitan kendaraan, dan model pergerakan kendaraan. Model jaringan jalan yang dibuat mencakup rancangan struktur data jalur jalan, persimpangan dan lampu lalu lintas beserta aturan-aturan lalu lintas yang digunakan. Mekanisme pembangkitan kendaraan menentukan bagaimana kendaraan dimunculkan pada jaringan jalan untuk memulai berjalannya lalu lintas. Model pergerakan kendaraan menentukan jalannya kendaraan di atas jaringan jalan yang didasarkan pada model aliran lalu lintas mikroskopik Intelligent Driver Model (IDM). IDM memodelkan pergerakan tiap kendaraan di jalan raya dengan memperhitungkan karakteristik kendaraan, perilaku pengemudi, dan hubungan dengan kendaraan lain.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

In this paper, a virtual urban traffic system for game is designed and implemented. The system consists of a road network model, a vehicle generation mechanism, and a vehicle movement model. The road network model includes data structure and logic design for road lanes, intersections, and traffic lights along with its traffic rules. The vehicle generation mechanism determines how vehicles are generated and placed in the road network to start the traffic. The vehicle movement model determines the movement of vehicle on a road lane based on microscopic traffic flow model named Intelligent Driver Model (IDM). By using IDM, movement of every vehicle in the road is calculated with regards of vehicle characteristics, driver behavior and relationship with other vehicles.
