IMPLEMENTATION OF CORPORATE CULTURE IN XYZ

Banyak orang yang tidak menyadari tentang pentingnya budaya di dalam hidup mereka. Kenyataannya, kita hidup di dalam budaya dan membawanya untuk membuat keputusan. Dari awal ini, manusia mulai menyadari budaya memiliki hubungan yang erat dalam kehidupan. Dari dasar ini pula Kotter dan Heskett melakukan riset dalam 10-tahun di USA, untuk analisa perusahaan di amerika lalu menemukan hasil bahwa, 14 perusahaan terbaik di amerika menunjukkan prestasi yang didukung budaya perusahaan yang baik pula.





Riset ini akan membahas mengenai isu budaya perusahaan seperti dikatakan diatas. Riset akan dilangsungkan di MedcoEnergi sebagai studi kasus. Tujuan riset kami adalah untuk melakukan identifikasi budaya perusahaan di XYZ, dan bagaimana XYZ mengimplementasikan budaya tersebut. Riset ini akan lebih menekankan kepada analisa nilai-nilai yang mereka miliki antara lain professional, etika, terbuka, dan inovatif sebagai elemen budaya perusahaan.





Kondisi budaya di XYZ dapat terlihat dari aktivitas mereka dan interview kepada para pegawai. Dari observasi, kami dapat melihat bahwa nilai-nilai yang dimiliki XYZ, diimplementasikan kepada para pegawai. Sangat jelas bahwa dalam waktu bekerja, para pegawai menunjukkan profesionalitasnya dalam penyelesaian tugas. Sikap etikanya juga sangat terlihat dari komunikasi antar pegawai dan juga kepada para atasan. Selama penelitian, ada beberapabukti yang dilihat oleh kami yaitu ada seorang pegawai yang lewat ruangan divisi SDM, walaupun mereka tidak saling mengenal, tetapi mereka tetap saling menyapa satu sama lain, ini menunjukan bahwa atmosfir beretika sudah di implementasikan.





Untuk analisa, kami menggunakan metode dari "Jakarta konsultan grup" untuk menganalisa bagaimana XYZ melakukan implementasu budaya kepada pegawainya. Metode ini dapat melihat dari tiga sisi dalam pembentuka budaya perusahaan di XYZ antara lain Kepemimpinan, system, dan kemampuan.





Untuk kesimpulan, periset ingin melihat kembali kepada pertanyaan riset yang sudah tertera di laporan. XYZ sebagai perusahaan Indonesia yang bersifat international telah menunjukan profesionalitasnya dengan cara mengimplementasikan budaya perusahaan di perusahaan mereka. Mereka tahu dan sadar akan pentingnya budaya perusahaan dan manusia sebagai asset mereka untuk mencapai sukses. Ada beberapa usaha yang XYZ lakukan, yang telah di jelaskan di laporan. Untuk melakukan analisa, kami menggunakan metodelogi tentang pembentukan budaya perusahaan kepada pegawai, dengan melihat tiga aspek yaitu kepemimpinan, system, dan kemampuan.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Many people doesn't realize on the importance of culture in their life, in fact, we live in a certain cultures and bring those culture in making the decision that people do in their whole life. So, from that starts, people start to realize that culture are having tight connecting with people daily activity. From this principle, Kotter and Heskett done some research in 10-years at USA, to analyze state's company in whole region and finally find result that more than 14 best rank company in USA shows that their achievement are being support by their good corporate culture.





This research will be discuss about the corporate culture issues that already mention briefly above, the research will be done at XYZ as the study case. Researcher objective is to identify about how XYZ implement their corporate culture to their employee. Starts from the identification on the culture knowledge, which vision, mission and values, then also identify the ways and program that corporate do in implementing culture knowledge to their employee. Actually this research will emphasize more from the Values of XYZ as the element of their corporate culture, which; Professional, Ethical, Open, and Innovative.





Current condition of XYZ's culture can be seen by their activity and the interview with the employees. From the observation, we can see that all values that XYZ have are implemented by their employee. Obviously at the working time the employee show their professionalism at their task accomplishment. The ethical also clearly see by their communication and relations with their colleges and their managers, during the observation, there are several evidence that researcher see, that one of the employee from the other division walk through the Human Resource office, even the employee didn't know the person, they were still nodding their head each other and say hello, it is show that their ethical atmosphere are already implemented.





For the analysis, researcher uses one method from "Jakarta Consulting group" to analyze the way how XYZ implement and build up their corporate culture to their employees. The method is used to see the build of corporate culture from three points of view, which are Leadership, System, and Capabilities.





For the conclusion, researcher wanted to review the answer on the research question that has been stated above. XYZ as the Indonesian international company have shown their professionalism by implementing corporate culture at their company. They know and aware about the importance of corporate culture and human as their assets to their success. There are several efforts that XYZ uses in implementing, that have been explained in this report. To analyze it, researcher use methodology of implementing corporate culture to their employee, by seeing at three aspects, which Leadership, System, and Capabilities.
