Besarnya kuantitas limbah cucian rumah tangga menjadikan limbah cair ini dinilai ekonomis dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif sumber air baku dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan air sehari-hari yang kini semakin sulit didapatkan. Penelitian dilakukan untuk melihat potensi daur ulang dari limbah cair domestik. Pengolahan yang tepat diterapkan dalam skala rumah tangga adalah rangkaian pengolahan yang mudah dan murah, seperti proses filtrasi menggunakan campuran media berbutir (zeolit, Granular Activated-Carbon (GAC), pasir, dan kerikil) dalam Downflow Packed-Bed Attached Growth Reactor. Penelitian dilakukan secara kontinu menggunakan sampel yang diambil dari rumah berkapasitas 6 orang.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Total quantity of laundry waste water on domestic site is considered economical because it can be used as an alternative source of raw water in the fulfillment of the daily water needs of an increasingly difficult to obtain. This research was conducted to see the potential for recycling of domestic waste. Appropriate treatment which can be applied in a series of household scale is an easy and inexpensive treatment, such as filtration process using a mixture of granular media (zeolites, Granular-Activated Carbon (GAC), sand, and gravel) in Downflow Packed-Bed Attached Growth Reactor. Research carried out continuously using a sample taken from the house with a capacity of six people.
