PEMANFAATAN FILTER GAUSS UNTUK STUDI SPASIO-TEMPORAL GEOID DARI DATA SATELIT GRACE

Satelit GRACE dapat mengamati variasi spasio temporal (bulanan) geoid, meskipun demikian data dari satelit GRACE tersebut masih mengandung kesalahan sehingga perlu dilakukan pereduksian noise atau gangguan sinyal. Pada tugas akhir ini, pereduksian noise tersebut dilakukan melalui proses filtering dalam domain spasial menggunakan Gaussian filter.
Setelah dilakukan proses filtering menggunakan Gaussian filter, didapatkan bahwa fenomena variasi spasio-temporal geoid yang akan terungkap dari pemanfaatan Gaussian filter adalah akibat siklus hidrologi. Perubahan efek curah hujan terhadap perubahan undulasi geoid salah satunya dapat terlihat jelas pada wilayah Amazon.
GRACE mission is able to variation of geoid (monthly). However, the GRACE data are still contaminated by noise. In order to reveal the spatio-temporal change of the geoid, the noise should be filtered out.
Periodic geoid change due to hydrologic cycle effect can be described after appliying Gaussian filter. Changes in rainfall effects on geoid undulasi changes one can be seen clearly in the Amazon region.
