Abstract:
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system has been utilized for controlling natural gas distribution in West Java area as stand alone system. This system has data based for day to day controlling operation. The data is very important for management level to manage the natural gas distribution. Integration of SCADA system and Management Information System will improve the utilization of SCADA data directly by the board of management.

This paper addresses design and prototyping of integration of SCADA and MIS which centralized at PERTAMINA OEP Karang Ampe, Cirebon. The integration design employs client-server architecture to access and process data from SCADA system. Field test of design and prototype indicates that integrated system provides faster time response, better reliability and accuracy on data processing compared with those of stands alone systems. However, data processing and security of SCADA system should be considered seriously because the design leads to an open system.
