Proses relokasi suatu terminal angkutan umum yang pertimbangannya kurang komprehensif cenderung menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan lain seperti munculnya fenomena seperti terminal bayangan, dan munculnya angkutan alternatif. Fenomena ini menunjukkan bahwa fungsi terminal sebagai pusat koleksi-distribusi penumpang dan pergantian inter-moda tidak berjalan. Salah satunya dimungkinkan karena penentuan lokasi terminal kurang tepat. Dalam kaitan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis lokasi yang optimal bagi terminal angkutan umum penumpang di Kota Padang. Dengan menggunakan metoda P-Median yang merupakan jenis Model Optimasi Lokasi yang dikembangkan dari dalii Hakimi yang memakai algoritma Teitz dan Bart, maka dibuat program lokasi yang mampu untuk menentukan lokasi terminal angkutan umum yang optimal tersebut. Dan optimasi yang telah dilakukan terbukti bahwa lokasi terminal angkutan umum penumpang dipengaruhi oleh pertumbuhan dan penyebaran penduduk serta penambahan ruas jaringan jalan di suatu kota. Hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa pengoperasian Terminal Regional Bingkuang di Air Pacah belum optimal dan sisi lokasi. Lokasi terminal angkutan umum penumpang yang optimal di Kota Padang adalah di simpul 156 yang terletak di Kelurahan Kalumbuk Kecamatan Kuranji, dan berada di ruas jalan By-Pass.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

A less comprehensive relocation process of public terminal tends to create problems, such as the occurrence of some phenomena: Shadow (substitute) terminal and some alternative public transportation. These phenomena indicated that the function of terminal as the centre of collection of passenger distribution and intermoda change can not run well. One of the possible causes is the inappropriate setting of terminal location. In line with this, the research is purposed to analyze optimal location for passenger public transportation in Padang City. The research applied P-Median method. It is one of the optimum model of location developed from Hakimi's theorem using Teitz and Bart Algorithm. So that a location programme which is able to determine terminal location of public transportation is set by using the method. After conducting the research, it is proved that terminal location for passenger public transportation is much influenced by the growth and the distribution of population as well as the additional street net internodes.






The result showed that the operation of Bingkuang Air Pacah regional terminal has not yet been optimal in term of location. Indeed, the optimal location for public transportation is set in 156 nodes. It is precisely located in Kalumbuk area, Kuranji sub district and in the node of By Pass Street.
