Pertumbuhan populasi Aedes sp diasumsikan bergantung pada fluktuasi ketersediaan air dalam habitat yang dipengaruhi oleh curah hujan dan bentuk geometri habitat. Dalam hal ini, kematangan dan penetasan telur serta survival larva Aedes sp bergantung pada fluktuasi ketersediaan air dalam habitat. Pembahasan diawali dengan pengkonstuksian model populasi nyamuk Aedes sp dengan lima fase pertumbuhan, yaitu : dua fase telur (immature dan mature), satu fase larva (larvae dan pupae) dan dua fase dewasa (nulliparous dan parous). Dinamika populasi nyamuk dijelaskan oleh matrik proyeksi dengan entri probabilitas transisi antar fase dan fekunditas betina Aedes sp dewasa.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

The growth of Aedes sp population was assumed depended on the fluctuation of water availability in habitat that influenced by the daily rainfall and the geometric shape of habitat. The maturation and hatching of surviving eggs and the mortality or larva were depended on the fluctuation of water availability in habitat. Firstly, Aedes sp population model was constructed based on five growth stage (immature egg, mature egg, larvae, nulliparous and parous female). The dynamics of Aedes sp population was described by projection population matrix. The entries of matrix projection population were probability of transition and fecundity of female Aedes sp.
