Engagement menjadi populer karena beberapa survei menunjukkan bahwa employee engagement dapat

berpengaruh pada efektifitas juga citra perusahaan. Kondisi employee engagement dibagi menjadi tiga

yaitu: berkomitmen aktif, belum berkomitmen dan tidak berkomitmen secara aktif. Pegawai dalam

kondisi tidak berkomitmen secara aktif inilah yang berbahaya. Karena dia tidak menunjukkan performa

yang maksimal, juga bisa menularkan hal buruk ini ke yang lain. Efeknya bisa mengganggu jalannya

produksi. Apalagi, di bidang industri kreatif yang memiliki proses produksi berurutan. Jika satu proses

dalam rangkaian produksi terganggu, otomatis akan menghambat keseluruhan proses. Selain itu,

industri yang berumpu pada sector kreatif juga memiliki kerugian lain dari pegawai yang belum dan

tidak berkomitmen. Jika seorang pegawai yang sudah lolos pelatihan dengan baik tiba-tiba memilih

untuk keluar karena tidak berkomitmen, maka ini akan menjadi kerugian besar. Penelitian ini dilakukan

Rumah Batik Komar, bisnis kreatif terkenal di Bandung yang fokus pada produksi kain Batik.

Pertanyaan pertama adalah mengenai faktor yang memengaruhi employee engagement. Berdasarkan

hasil pemfaktoran dari Gallup Q12, didapatkan dua faktor yaitu; employee recognition dan employee

development. Kemudian dari hasil penghitungan nilai rata-rata, faktor dominan yang memengaruhi

employee engagement di Rumah Batik Komar adalah employee development.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Employee engagement become popular because some survey shows that engagement can drive

production process effectiveness also a good engagement will increase company image. The condition

of employee engagement divided into three: actively engaged, not engaged and actively disengaged.

The actively disengaged employee is dangerous because they can spread the negativity to the others.

Impact of negativity can disrupt the production lines. Moreover, in creative industry business which is

have continued production process. If one production line not perform well because one employee

actively disengage, it can be disrupt other process. Besides that, creative business also have another

disadvantage from not engage and actively disengage employee. If a well-trained employee left the

business because not engage, it will be a big loss. This research is done at Rumah Batik Komar, a

famous creative business in Bandung that focus in producing Batik (traditional decorating cloth).

Answering first research question about the factors that influence employee engagement according to

factor analysis from Gallup Q12 are; employee recognition and employee development. The second

research question is about the dominant factor. Then, from the average value calculation, dominant

factor that influence employee engagement in Rumah Batik Komar is employee development.

Recommendation given to the dominant factor. So, the recommendation of this project is for maintain

employee development. To improve and maintain employee development, researcher recommend to:

(1) Do a training and development periodically, (2) Always allocated time for sharing session although

informally, (3) Monitoring and evaluation the feedback, (4) Work with the collaboration.
