Sistem Ventilasi bawah tanah, mempunyai peranan penting dalam kontrol kuantitas, kualitas dan temperatur-kelembaban untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang semestinya sesuai dengan peraturan berlaku. Seiring perkembangan proses penambangan yang kontinyu dan dinamis, maka diperlukan suatu jaringan ventilasi yang kontinyu dan dinamis pula. Untuk pengembangan jaringan ventilasi diperlukan suatu acuan yaitu analisis terhadap keadaan jaringan saat ini.


Kompleksitas dan banyaknya paramater yang mempengaruhi suatu sistem ventilasi, menuntut penggunaan mikroprosessor untuk melakukan perhitungan lebih cepat dan akurat. Sebuah program untuk memodelkan jaringan ventilasi, Mivena (Mine Ventilation Analysis) telah dikembangkan sejak tahun 1986 di Akita University, Jepang, dengan menerapkan pendekatan Nodal Flow Potential menggantikan algoritma Hardy Cross yang saat ini banyak digunakan untuk menganalisa airflow. Selain itu, Mivena dapat pula digunakan untuk memprediksi pengaruh perpindahan panas dan/atau penguapan yang terjadi terhadap kondisi psikrometri dari lingkungan tambang bawah tanah antara lain tekanan ventilasi alami, perubahan specific volume dan lain sebagainya.

Deskripsi Alternatif :

Underground ventilation system, hold important roles as quantity, quality and temperature-humidity controls to create and maintain a proper working condition, based on regulation employed. As mining processes are continuous and dynamic, it is necessary to maintain continuously and dynamically planned ventilation system as well as its processes. Before the ventilation system was developed, assessment of current ventilation system should have been conducted previously as guidance.


As the complexities and many of parameters that have to be taken into consideration, the use of microprocessor was necessary in order to provide more rapid and accurate calculation. A computer software, Mivena (Mine Ventilation Analysis) has been developed since 1986 at Akita University, Japan, applied Nodal Flow Potential approach instead of Hardy Cross Method that have been widely used recently. Mivena was also designed to be able to predict influence of heat transfer and/or evaporation to psychrometric condition of Underground environment such as Natural Ventilation Pressure, change of specific volume, etc.
